The Importance of Having a Well-Styled Garden

Tuesday, July 27th, 2010

These days, looks are everything. People always want to impress friends, neighbours and acquaintances. One of the best ways to do this is to have a home that’s perfectly styled. Your garden is an incredibly important part of that. As well as keeping it neat and tidy, garden furniture sets and accessories should always be invested in.

Achieving the right look shouldn’t be too difficult either. There are plenty of garden accessories that are sure to add something to your outside space, and keeping everything congruent and stylish will guarantee that you create the right effect. Get different pieces of furniture in the same wood, and if you use soft furnishings (such as garden cushions) then keep the colours in the same palette, as this will draw the whole garden together for a stunning look.

Having teak garden furniture sets is also a sure-fire way to impress. Teak is an incredibly attractive wood, oozing quality and style, and you’re bound to get some admiring glances from anyone that sees such stunning furniture in your garden. You’ll need the table and chairs, but don’t forget the umbrella and any other seating areas as well – keep everything teak and you can’t go wrong.

Having a well-styled garden really is important in this day and age, as people place an awful lot of emphasis on looks and image. If you want to upgrade yours, make sure to invest in some stunning garden furniture sets and related accessories, ideally by coming to us here at Chic Teak, and get ready to be admired.

Relax in Style with the Right Garden Furniture

Tuesday, July 20th, 2010

We’ve all seen homes that we admire, and usually it’s because they’ve created a space that’s effortlessly stylish with all the right pieces perfectly coordinated. So why don’t you do it too? Even better, take it out into the garden – with the right garden furniture sets you’ll have a truly stylish place that’s perfect for relaxing in.

There’s no better feeling than being able to relax in your garden in complete comfort and style, so the first thing on your list should be the chairs. Reclining garden chairs are the ultimate way to indulge, and can allow you to enjoy the sunshine in complete comfort.

Or, for something a bit different, why not consider hammocks or swing seats? These can be incredibly relaxing and will add detail and a focal point to your garden, and they’re sure to be noticed by anyone who visits. Your neighbours will be green with envy.

Garden cushions are another popular choice, and are perfect for if you want something a bit more informal, or even if you’re throwing a huge party and want everyone to have a comfortable seat. Let’s not forget benches as well – a few additions such as cushions or blankets will make another stylish and comfortable seating area.

As you can see, you really can relax in style with the right garden furniture. Here at Chic Teak we’ve got everything you need to enjoy your garden at its best, so come and have a look at our garden furniture sets and accessories and see what takes your fancy.

Good for the Environment As Well As For You

Saturday, July 17th, 2010

Here at Chic Teak, we take our obligations and responsibilities seriously. We want to provide you with the best quality garden furniture sets possible, but we want to do it in a sustainable, economic and environmentally friendly way. We’re confident that we’ve managed to achieve this, and we think you will be too.

Our first and most important priority is to only ever source the wood for our garden furniture sets from sustainable plantations in Indonesia. Teak has long been sourced by cutting down rainforest trees, but thankfully in recent years it’s been winding down. It still operates in some areas, but by supporting sustainable plantations we’re striving to put unethical and illegal loggers out of business to keep the rainforest going.

We also take good care of our teak, letting it mature for long enough and only using the heart of the tree to create a superior product. This not only does the teak good but it also does you good as well – by sourcing the wood from the right places at the right time, you get garden tables, chairs and related accessories that are of a much higher quality than you otherwise would.

But, it doesn’t stop there. We also take care of our employees, and we’re proud to say that our Indonesian plantations (all government-run to strict regulations) provide valuable jobs, security and income to local people.

As you can see, here at Chic Teak we really do care about the environment and about everyone who comes into contact with our products, including you, the customer. To see just how much care we put in, take a look at our range of teak garden furniture and you’ll soon realise what we do.

Types of Garden Furniture You Need to Consider

Wednesday, July 14th, 2010

Everyone puts a great deal of thought into furnishing their home, but they often overlook the garden. This can be a huge mistake, as a perfectly designed garden can really add a sense of style, and here at Chic Teak we understand that. That’s why we have a fantastic range of garden furniture sets and accessories, and here are just a few of the options to whet your appetite.

•    Teak garden furniture. Teak is a stunning wood and its properties (durability, hard wearing, great looks…) make it the ideal material for garden furniture, and it should definitely be considered if you really want to make a statement in your garden.

•    Coffee tables. These add some much-needed surface space without having to take up so much room as a bigger table, so are perfect if you’ve got a smaller garden or even if you’ve just got one or two people coming over for a catch up.

•    Wooden swing seats/hammocks/cushions. These offer a great alternative to traditional chairs and are sure to be noticed, creating a real talking point and adding something different and unique to your garden.

•    Reclining wooden chairs. Reclining chairs are the ultimate way to relax, and being made of wood makes them even more sought after. Make them comfier still with accompanying cushions, and enjoy the sunshine throughout the summer.

These are just a few types of garden furniture that you always need to consider, and there are many more besides. Here at Chic Teak we stock all of these options and more, so whether you’re after teak garden furniture or just about anything else make sure to see what we can offer.

How to Update Your Garden

Sunday, July 11th, 2010

If you want your garden to stay looking great, it’s always going to be necessary to update it every now and again. And not just adding a few new plants here and there – updating your garden furniture sets and accessories could be all you need, to breathe a new lease of life into your outdoor space.

One of the first things you should do is update your table and chairs. It’s out with the old and in with the new, and if you’ve been used to plastic patio furniture then why not consider upgrading to wood? Wooden garden furniture will give your whole garden a completely new look, and create a much better impression. Not only does it look great but it’s also incredibly durable and hardwearing as well.

But, if you really want to give your garden a makeover, it doesn’t stop there. Consider the other accessories as well, such as loungers, wooden planters, hammocks, cushions, coffee tables and even reclining garden chairs, for the ultimate way to relax. Any one of these can be the perfect way to update your garden, and if you choose wisely you’ll be able to coordinate your pieces to create a stunning overall look.

Here at Chic Teak, we’ve got just what you need to keep your garden looking great all year round. If it needs a bit of a pick me up, then make sure to check out our stunning range of wooden garden furniture sets and accessories, and look forward to some admiring glances from the neighbours.
