Chic Teak are the UKs foremost purveyors of unique teak garden furniture, with over fourteen years experience in the business. Teak garden furniture sets are durable functional and beautiful, and will outlast and outperform plastic and metal alternatives, especially in the harsh and changeable climate of the United Kingdom. We have a fantastic selection of garden dining tables, garden chairs, wooden benches and so many more quality products which add that touch of class to your garden.
When we do get lovely weather in the United Kingdom, we definitely make the most of it as we appreciate the sunshine more than our neighbours in sunnier climes. However, we are often caught short when it comes to providing food, entertainment and comfort in our gardens. By the time we have dragged tatty deckchairs, ancient plastic tables and rusty barbecue sets from our lofts and garages, the opportunity has often passed and the rain sets in again.
However, by investing in some of our gorgeous teak garden furniture, you can rest assured that all you ever need to do when the sun breaks through the clouds is ensure that your fridge is stocked with food and drinks, your barbecue is primed and your friends’ numbers are on speed dial, an impromptu gathering is only minutes away. In fact, our garden umbrellas and garden furniture parasols will ensure that your barbecue continues in rain or shine. Chic Teak products are constructed from the highest quality teak wood gathered from eco-friendly sustainable plantations and made by master craftsmen in Indonesia, and we can deliver your purchases straight to your door anywhere in the UK.

The obvious choice for your garden furniture set may be teak, but have you considered a synthetic wicker garden furniture set? The range of styles, colours and shapes available from us is fantastic. Teak garden furniture is durable, strong and stylish. But perhaps the weight has put you off splashing out on some much-needed garden furniture for your patio. Our synthetic wicker garden furniture could be a big help to you.
Synthetic Wicker Weaves
Synthetic wicker carries its own set of wonderful benefits. For one, it can be left unattended in your garden all the year round, and has the potential to withstand temperatures ranging from –70°C to +80°C (which the rest of your garden may not survive). Styled and secured over an aluminium frame, our synthetic wicker weave is also impervious to chlorine, salt water, and highly resistant to the sun’s UV rays, which can potentially dull colours. For those of you with messy gardens (and families) a synthetic wicker negates the need for panic at every spillage. No maintenance is required, and humble old soap and water will suffice for cleaning. For many, the main benefit is the weight. Despite being a lightweight option, nothing has been surrendered with regard to durability against time and the elements. The versatility of the wicker style is fantastic for the thriftily-minded. Historically, wicker furniture has been the furniture of choice for many a conservatory. Moving your set between outdoors and indoors is easy, practical and a great help to those with smaller gardens and budgets.

A garden space can serve a multitude of purposes – an area of solitude, herb patch to cultivate, play area for the kids, or even the place for a sneaky nap. Whatever the purpose, do you think you’d be less healthy in mind and body without it? Short answer…yes. Studies have shown that the benefits of cultivating, maintaining and relaxing in your garden are invaluable. Spending as little as ten minutes a day relaxing in a tranquil garden can help to reduce your stress levels significantly.
Wooden swing seats and garden benches are particularly restful. The emotional benefits of eating together as a family are just as important in the garden. Taking time to sit around your garden furniture set, relax and eat dinner strengthens personal bonds (plus Dad probably can’t see the TV from the garden, so you’ll have his full attention.) Water features are of particular note, since they hold several unique benefits in your garden. The term sympathetic resonance refers to a sound or tone that calms the mind. The sound of running water is such a thing. Similarly, the sight of running water has been shown to reduce anxiety and stress.
The animal life attracted to your garden is great to observe through the changing seasons. Popping a bird-feeder up is a fantastic way to attract birds (and cheeky squirrels). A little time spent on your garden bench watching the daily life of birds is never time wasted.

Each element of your garden furniture set serves its own wonderful purpose when it comes to your comfort and practical use. Hopefully our quick tips will help you pick out the best space for every item in your garden furniture set (even if you just own a coffee table and folding recliner because you don’t actually live in a stately home.)
Dining Tables
By far the best place for garden dining furniture sets is on hard-standing. It’s level, safe and won’t get boggy or soft in the rain. You’ll also find yourself much relieved when you don’t have to move a heavy teak garden table, chairs and parasol each time you mow the lawn. A nifty idea for those late evening dinner parties is to hang a blanket over the back of each wooden dining chair, that way your guests can snuggle themselves up as the temperature drops a little. If your only area of hard-standing is in a suntrap, consider one of our garden parasols or gazebos to provide enough shade for everyone.
Garden Loungers and Coffee Tables
Garden loungers, particularly ones with wheels, are so easy to move that even the most fickle of sun/shade-seekers shouldn’t have a problem. Whether you want to face a certain beautiful view, a favourite bedding patch, or simply bask in the sun, a wooden garden lounger is a great choice.
Swing Seats and Benches
Once positioned, it will be difficult to move them. Many people use certain items at similar times of the day – think about what time of day you’ll most likely use them, and pick a sunny/shady spot depending on that.

We may never be clear on the origins of the memorial bench tradition, but a steadfast part of our culture it is nonetheless. We live in an unfortunately secular world, with feathers easily ruffled and communities simply driven apart. You may choose to remember a loved one with a park or garden memorial bench. Memorial benches seem to provide an agenda-free place for many people and their stories to take quiet reflection. Of course the most prized locations are generally parks and areas of outstanding natural beauty, however many of the most popular locations cannot accommodate new memorial benches.
An increasingly popular option is the creation of a memorial bench for your own garden. This negates the tiresome need to interact with councils and park officers, which can be very draining and upsetting. Our teak memorial benches are skilfully crafted using top quality, slowly kiln-dried teak to ensure a lifetime of use. Simply instruct us as to what style, size and material you would like your bench to be created in. Alternatively, would a tree seat or garden swing seat be suitable? If you’re looking for a personal, creative way to remember your loved one, teak is arguably the best material in which to do it (some garden seats can last over a hundred years). More unconventional ideas include a memorialised teak planter, gardeners trug (to remember who taught you the tricks to growing the best roses) and hammock seats.
Feel free to ask us any questions concerning your own ideas too.
