Choosing the Best Spot

Each element of your garden furniture set serves its own wonderful purpose when it comes to your comfort and practical use. Hopefully our quick tips will help you pick out the best space for every item in your garden furniture set (even if you just own a coffee table and folding recliner because you don’t actually live in a stately home.)

Dining Tables
By far the best place for garden dining furniture sets is on hard-standing. It’s level, safe and won’t get boggy or soft in the rain. You’ll also find yourself much relieved when you don’t have to move a heavy teak garden table, chairs and parasol each time you mow the lawn. A nifty idea for those late evening dinner parties is to hang a blanket over the back of each wooden dining chair, that way your guests can snuggle themselves up as the temperature drops a little. If your only area of hard-standing is in a suntrap, consider one of our garden parasols or gazebos to provide enough shade for everyone.

Garden Loungers and Coffee Tables
Garden loungers, particularly ones with wheels, are so easy to move that even the most fickle of sun/shade-seekers shouldn’t have a problem. Whether you want to face a certain beautiful view, a favourite bedding patch, or simply bask in the sun, a wooden garden lounger is a great choice.

Swing Seats and Benches
Once positioned, it will be difficult to move them. Many people use certain items at similar times of the day – think about what time of day you’ll most likely use them, and pick a sunny/shady spot depending on that.
