Creating A Private Garden

We all love to enjoy our garden, however it can sometimes be difficult when we are living within close proximity to other houses. If your garden is overlooked then you may feel a little self-conscious going out into your garden. Even if you have friendly neighbours who you get on well with, sometimes you just want to relax outside and get some peace and quiet.

Obviously you can put a fence up, however at the same time you do not want to offend your neighbours or restrict your outdoor views by encasing your garden in wood. The trick is to have a selective area which is private and can be used to relax in when you require.

Try to choose an area of your garden which is either close to your house or possibly in a corner slightly away from your garden boundaries. Design this space so that it is specifically aimed at being a relaxation area.

Try to keep the area simple, but fill it with essential items. Having some key garden furniture items such as garden furniture sets will set the scene. Try to choose natural materials like teak which will enhance the relaxing environment. At Chic Teak our superb range of teak garden furniture is perfect for chilling out on and we have many garden furniture varieties to fit a multitude of spaces.

Creating some shading in the area will also make you feel more secluded than you perhaps are. This can be done with garden parasols or gazebos; this is a very effective way of creating privacy.
